Just wanted to try some painting in PS as opposed to doing this in Painter Classic (where I usually do these kinds of pieces).
For reference, I used a black & white photo I found online of Morena something-or-other...I forgot the rest of her name. She was on Firefly. I'll try to find the link to the pic I used.
Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but I'm still happy with it. Might go back and tweak some things (especially if someone points something out).

EDIT: I fiddled with some things, trying to incorporate the comments I got. I'm not sure if I was really able to fix what people mentioned successfully. And I'll work on the hair too.

yo, lookin' awesome. if you are lookin for a tip, i dont know, maybe it was the picture, but her mouth seems a little weird. on the left side. like she's half biting it. see what i'm saying? i dont know. i dont know what i'm talkin' about. thats the only thing that bothers me. the rest is FANTASTCHICO!

I think it's near perfect. The only thing I see is that the right side of her mouth (her right, your left) looks like she's got a fat lip. Who would want to hit her in the mouth? LOL Nevermind. That was tasteless.

I like the texture of her skin. She has a very sweet and individual expression.
