I had actually done the flats for this quite a while ago, and I just really wanted to see it done. So I decided to just power through the colors. I really liked the simplicity of my colors on the Aayla piece and how my lines still showed through. So I wanted to do something along the same line. It's kinda in between that look and my usual over-rendered things. My technique's a little bit different on this too. I still hate rendering hair. And that water was a pain to do, and I'm still not certain it came out all that great. And, rest assured, she does indeed have all five fingers on her hands. The rest of it though I'm really happy with. Yeah, I know, I should quit it with those screen tones. But I can't help myself.
Hope you guys dig. I'm kinda eager to see other people's interpretations of this (if anyone tried their hand at coloring it).

This is very nice, the pose and the movement of the water off the page and the circle symbol under her feet. I also like how you didn't give her huge boobs, like some people do >.> (I mean, she's a kid, people!)
The only real thing that detracts is the screen tone, because it's so different from the rest of the picture. I keep going back to it and going ehh??

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
