I don't really even know if this should be in the tutorial section since I don't really go into a lot of detail. It's basically just to show how I go about doing colors. Hopefully it'll help someone out.
EDIT: I'll add a bit of extra stuff, as per people's comments.
For my colors, I use Photoshop 5.5 and a Wacom tablet.
On step 5 I messed up. I actually use a hard-edged airbrush for blending, not feathered.
The brushes I use are whatever comes with the program. Just click on the tool (paintbrush or airbrush) and, in the brushes pallette, just choose the hard-edged circles.
Well done. Clear and concise, and a good way to achieve the painted effect. But it's all in the knowing *where* to paint and where not to, now isn't it?
I'll certainly have to try this technique!

I just started colouring my work recently, so this is much appreciated. The airbrush sometimes makes things look fake, but your work has a nice painted look to it.
Nice tutorial. I'm gonna try this technique. I agree with the person that commented about not telling what program or brushes you use. I assume you're using photoshop. Also, this tutorial will mostly benefit people who already have experience using the program, which isn't a bad thing, it just may limit the audience a bit. Thanks for taking the time out to make this.
